Anguilla Social Security Board Urges Customers to Register and Update Bank Account Information in the SSB Portal
The Valley - The Social Security Board is reminding all persons who have submitted benefit claims online and have not provided their bank account information to please log into their online accounts and update this information. The Benefits Department has noticed increased payment issues due to customers providing incorrect banking information, which causes delays and problems in the payment process.
Customers are urged to check their information and make necessary updates, to include Name of Bank, Account Number, Bank Type - Savings or Checking, Currency - EC$ or US$ and remember to save them immediately.
Dr. Maglan Lewis Webster, Acting Director advised:
This is a critical step as benefit claims cannot be processed unless the customer provided valid bank account details. Failure to provide your Bank information will result in payment delays. Accordingly, with the new Banking System, it is important that customers regularly check their Bank account information in the SSB Portal to ensure the bank account on file is correct.
When updating or submitting bank account information, claimants must be extra vigilant as incorrect account details, an erroneous number even by one digit, can result in your payment being made to the wrong person. The claimant will then have to try to recover their funds through their Bank's customer service agent, without guarantee.
Customers can contact the Social Security Office for assistance updating their information. We are here to help ensure your online SSB experience is smooth and stress-free. Together, we can prevent payment issues and ensure your benefits are delivered promptly and to the correct account.
