Anguilla Social Security Board - Request Funding for Projects and Sponsorship

The Anguilla Social Security Board as it rolls out its 2018 Strategic Transformation Plan in line with its vision 2025, mission, and core values continues to provide meaningful social security, community empowerment and national development to transform the quality of life in Anguilla.

The Board through its Social Security Development Fund contributes to such socially desirable projects as it may select with the prior approval of the Minister responsible for Social Security. A number of projects have been funded throughout the years since the establishment of the Social Security Development Fund by legislation in 1986. In an effort to improve the operations of the Fund, to ensure its meaningful contribution to the future development of Anguilla and its natural and human resources, the Board has placed a moratorium on funding of projects and sponsorship requests other than those already committed for the rest of 2018.

A "Call for Projects" will be issued at the beginning of November where persons will be invited to submit projects that will benefit Anguilla and the people of Anguilla in line with the established guidelines and budgets. The call for projects will ensure that potential projects are considered alongside each other so that the most deserving will be selected and funds more appropriately allocated, and assist the Board to efficiently manage the process to achieve optimal results in its stated objective of "Satisfied Citizens and Vibrant Communities" The Board will require from recipients of the funds greater accountability through the provision of budgets and reports with supporting documentation on the approved project.

The Social Security Development Fund is funded by 3.75% of contribution income and a percentage of allotted investment income.
